The Task
Use the Scientific Method Process to compose a science project from start to finish!
What's the Scientific Method???
The scientific method is a set of organized steps used to solve problems and/or answer questions about the world around us.
The Steps Include:
1. Asking a question
2. Conducting Background Research
3. Formulating a Hypothesis
4. Testing the Hypothesis with an Experiment
5. Analyzing Data and Drawing Conclusions
6. Communicating Results

Abstract
The purpose for my project
was to test 4 drinks, coffee, 2 types of soda, and tea, and see which
ones stained teeth the worst. More simply, my question was, "Which of your favorite drinks stains your teeth the worst?". My hypothesis was that because of
Soda's harsh chemicals and sugars, it would cause more discoloration
to the teeth then the other tested drinks. I tested my hypothesis by
using hollowed eggs as teeth and leaving them in containers of the 4
drinks for 5 days. Everyday, I fished out the eggs and analyzed their
discoloration process. In the end, coffee proceeded to stain the eggs
more the then the other tested drinks. These results proved my
hypothesis to be wrong.
Picking My Question
I have to admit it was very hard to pick the perfect question to answer. I had to pick something that would be useful or informative for teenagers and adults. Along with that, it also had to be something from which I had the materials to conduct a experiment on. After many days of searching I finally found my perfect topic. Click the tab "In the beginning" to see my question and to see the work behind this amazing experiment.
